Qualifications

I qualified as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with the Arbours Association in 1990 and am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy UKCP. Registration number: 00931880

I have a long-standing interest in the interplay between the safety and quality of our relationships /attachments and the social structures we live. My practice is best described as attachment-informed and my professional association through which I am registered with UKCP is the Bowlby Centre.

I have completed many further psychotherapy trainings in a range of modalities particularly around trauma and stress and neurodiversity. 

I am also a fully trained mindfulness teacher/therapist (CMRP Bangor University) and work to the BAMBA standards of practice.

In 2020, I completed a Doctor of Practice in Integrative Psychotherapy with the University of Derby.

I am strongly committed to and abide by the UKCP Code of Ethics of UKCP and the Bowlby Centre, and the UKCP statement on Equality and Inclusion. They cover many aspects of good therapeutic relationships.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of professional therapeutic practice. I am registered with the Information Security Office and act in accordance with GDPR. This means I only keep your personal details and any record of our work that is essential for the work we do.

I work from my garden office in North Leeds and can meet in person or online.

I always start with an initial consultation in-person or online.

Session length and fees depend on the type of work agreed. Usually 50 minutes for therapy, 1 or 1.5 hrs for supervision or role-based consultation.
